The dude must be a drama ho. We work in the same room with the SAME students but HE always files incident reports. Happens while I'm at lunch. WTF?

He stirs up these kids and gets hurt. I've never filed an incident report. Maybe because I don't stir s**t up just to get attention.

You would think that administration would take notice of that stuff and see the red flags.

At least they don’t think you’re a drama ho.

What sort of “incidents” does he write about?

Are these reports student behavioral slips or incident :variance reports where your co teacher or para got hurt.

Does your school use a pyramid behavioral plan?

Kraftie, this guy stirs the kids up and they get rough and someone gets hurt. Than he gets to act all important about it in that he has to write an incident report. He likes the attention.

How is this a negative for me? Unwanted visits and attention from admin to our department. Nobody wants to be a regular fixture on admin radar. None of this sh!t happens when he is at lunch and I have the kids.

I think the guy is digging his own grave—unless he’s palsy walsy with the administration.

No adminstrator likes an employee who constantly submits reports. It doesn’t look good when the school is audited.

A mixture of both and it is inexcusable

If your name is not in the report, you’re in the clear.

I know what you mean when you say it draws unwanted attention, though.

The guy sounds like a jerk.

I would let him dig his own grave. To confront him would probably be counterproductive.

Trust me, I don't confront him. I don't pay him much attention at all. However he has tried to get me to do things which would get me fired. To that I tell him that I don't breach procedures.

What has helped me in education
is simple documentation and spreadsheets and building relationships with others in the building from custodians to ADMIN & Guidance office.
The building relationships was the hardest.

It does sometimes help, weirdly enough, to develop relationships with such as the "cleaning staff."

Where I work, the "cleaning staff" are the eyes and ears of the place, and know the latest gossip----and judges and attorneys frequently consult them on things.

Perhaps, your boss gets the "dope" on things through them. I don't know, of course----but who knows?
