I don't mind bees, but wasps irritate the hell out of me. Generally I don't kill things, but I make an exception for wasps that won't take the hint. :x

Yeah they are EVIL.

I'm slighty allergic to wasp stings- I don't need to be rushed to hospital or anything, but it tends to swell up and hurt more than usual.

Thankfully I haven't been stung in years.

I like bumblebees. They are harmless little things and will not sting unless you really provoke them.

Wasps I hate... and I am not keen on other types of bees.

Huh. Bees, wasps, and hornets don't bother me at all. I love bees. Spiders don't bother me either. Ticks do. Flies are the worst, I hate them the most!! They are dirty, disease spreading, maggot breeding, filthy things. If a fly lands on my food I pretty much lose my appetite or throw away the part they landed on (this may seem extreme, but I live in a mostly rural area with livestock, whhere manure piles and outhouses are a fact of life). I love the hornets, especially the black faced kind: they hunt down the flies. It's really neat to sit and watch them dive and manuever as they catch the flies.

Most of these insects do not sting if you don't swat at them and freak out waving your hands and jumping around. I mean, I have been stung from stepping on one, or inadvertently scaring one that I didn't see, but I have done my chores daily in a barn with several large nests of hornets and rarely got stung.

Wasps... Uggh.

I once was mowing the grass when I ran over a mud wasp nest in the ground, they all came out in a fury after me and I had to run like hell to get away. I later went out with gasoline and burned the nest away.

Wasps also like to make nests on the side of our house. They once made a giant nest in a bush in our backyard and would harrase me when I'd mow the grass. I finally had to use raid on the thing.

I hate 'em because I have a reaction to their stings. I get all lightheaded and dizzy.

All the times I got stung I was inside.
