Anyone diagnosed with hyperacusis (extreme sensitivity to "everyday" sounds)?
I have just been, and have been given a white noise generator to wear (it's like a hearing aid but plays white noise). Would be interested to hear from anyone who has found it really helpful - I've been told it could be 3-12 months before I notice it working.
I'm also in the process of assessment for Aspergers - got my appt through for 2 weeks time.
