I don't know how to google this so I gotta ask
Why might I have this problem? Can you relate?

When I'm asked, or have to do some kind of calculation, no matter how easy it is
I go completely blank and can't even form any thoughts.
This is distressing because it makes it difficult for me to even go to shopping

I'm not quite sure if you're referring to math calculations or not, but if so, it could be dyscalculia.

I do that sometimes if put on the spot.

If I need to work something out on the fly - i.e. in a shop it can take me a long time.

In fact that is one of the reasons I now think I bought the same breakfast in the canteen at work every day. I would know how much I owed and how much change I should get back.
