Prompted by skibum's post about meeting a service dog, I thought I would be nice if people posted photos of their service, emotional support, or just plain pet dogs!

I'll start off with my dog Poppy. She's a 7 year-old, rescued, Basset Hound and is not a trained support dog but she's always around if I need a hug and there's nothing quite as huggy as a floppy Basset!

Sorry about the missing photo. Google Drive can be a real pain when embedding images.

You can do "tinypic.com."

You upload the image from your phone onto tinypic. You have to go through a screening process---just type in what they say to type in.

To insert into WrongPlanet, you click the image all the way to the right in the row where YouTube is on the very left.

You use the format: http://i68 (or whatever).tinypic.com/whatever.jpg.

Then you press "insert," which inserts the image onto the PM.

Here is Velvet. My service dog in training. She’s a 6 month old golden retriever.

For those having trouble embedding an image using Google Drive:

1) Open Google Drive
2) Right-click on your image and select 'Share...'
3) Click 'Anyone with the link can view' text and a drop-down should appear
4) Click 'More...'
5) Select 'On - Public on the web' and click 'Save'
6) Copy the link just below the 'Anyone on the internet can find and view' text. The PICTUREID is a long sequence of letters and numbers.
It should look something like: https://drive.google.com/file/d/PICTURE ... sp=sharing
7) Click 'Done'
8) Stick the above PICTURE ID into the following link:
http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=PICTUREID
You should end up with something like:
http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view& ... Mcn8wssiJk
9) Stick your link in your WrongPlanet reply.
10) Grumble about how difficult Google have made this!

Or just do what kraftiekortie says, which seems a lot easier :)

All done!

I'm assuming you have already seen a picture of Asher so here's another one.

Do you have any advice for a newbie? I’m going to be taking my service dog in training in public in the next couple of weeks.

Make the experience positive for both you and your dog, do or get something you like at the end, and reward your dog with affection and treats.

Thanks! That sounds like a great approach.
