Hey I wish I had brain damage or down syndrome instead of aspergers them I would deal with less problems. What do you think of that?

Very foolish. Aspergers makes you who you are, and you deserve to be who you are.

It is all those people who refuse to respect and accept autistics for being human beings too, who are the cause of all your misery! Blame those who do not respect and accept you for who you are for all your misery, not your aspergers!

The neurotypical non-accepting outright anti-autistic society is the cause of all your trouble. Not your aspergers or your personality!

Having friends with Down Syndrome, I don’t think the problems they face are any less severe than mine. As a matter of fact, the issues they deal with are by far more difficult. They are prone to a variety of health issues and tend not to live as long. They can’t live as full of a life since their IQ tends to be lower.

Many would like to marry and have children but are not high enough functioning to do so.

My friends were very social and outgoing, but they were frequently teased and not taken seriously. They were called “ret*d” in school and certainly never achieved as much independence as they wanted.

Please don’t belittle the difficulties those with severe disabilities face. A low IQ is not something to speak light of.

Try to look on the bright side of things. You can always improve and grow in areas that you struggle in. If you were limited by a lower IQ, your potential for growth would be much more restricted.

When someone is visibly handicapped, other people often take this into account and help him. And Aspergers isn't visible and people are not considerate. I understand it. Maybe you would not have some your actual problems, but you don't know problems of someone with brain damage or down syndrome. You can't change it and choose.

I highly doubt it. There is a lot of hate crimes committed against visibly handicapped as well.

Alot of people know about disabilities including autism, they just like having fun committing hate crimes against those who are disabled. Visible or not.

The reason autistics are bullied is not because people are not considerate - it is because humans are naturally evil. The human race is the most vicious specie on planet Earth! Humans have fun when doing evil stuff. That's the reason.

If humans know about a disability, they find your weak spots and start take advantage of them, to live out their evil ideas. That's humanity (at least a large percentage of it) in a nutshell!

I believe that very few people are as bad as you say.

Perhaps we are less likely to notice the good people than the bad.

Look around you. Read the news. What do you see when it is about humans interacting with fellow humans, or humans interacting with other animals?

Most likely 99 % of your observations will be evil deeds.

There is always war and murder somewhere. That is because humans like to wage war and kill people.

Humanity is not naturally evil. People who do evil things are in the minority by a large margin.

This is pure silliness. The news only talks about bad stuff. It rarely talks about all the good deeds people do.

Further, the people who make it on the news for doing bad stuff make up a very small percentage of the entire population.

You're entitled to your opinion, and that is fine. And, of course, I hope you're right, but currently I doubt it.

We're going off-topic, so perhaps one of us should make a seperate thread in the Politics-forum to discuss it further.

I looked around me when I was out running errands. I didn’t see any evilness. Someone opened a door for me. A person said excuse me when she accidentally bumped into me. A cashier told me about a coupon I could use on a container of ice cream. Salespeople asked if they could help me find something.

Nope. No evilness today. LOL

It really isn’t an opinion...

I rather don't reach much news, because they are primarily negative (selection of negative events).
A lot of people are evil but not all.

In my country recently more often run barrier-free buses, build barrier-free buildings, people in bus let sit down blind person...

I think you have problems that are way beyond what this forum can help you with and you need to seek therapy.

Or, you may just be trolling.

I'm gonna assume that you were diagnosed really late in the game because that's the only time where ANY autism diagnosis gets difficult due to lack of services. The problem is that many people still consider autism and aspergers a children's condition but what they forget is that those children grow up and become autistic and aspergers adults and then they have no services unless they were diagnosed in their childhood. I know for me being diagnosed at 19 it was very difficult to get any kind of services because I had practically aged out of everything. I don't hate myself for it though, what's done is done and you can't go backward you can only move forward.
