You really do motivate people by all that you go through. BeaArthur was probably my all time favorite tv actress alongside Linda Lavin. You got your family members that you look after and help achieve independence. Hard work and persistence. You never give up. Just wanted to say that your Dorothy or Maude tough love style is cool.

Our "Bea Arthur" is just being honest; both to herself and to others. She has my respect. :salut:

She is an honest and, at the same time, positive presence on Wrong Planet and her posts are very interesting to read.

BeaArthur is not only wise, she's also very encouraging to people. I'm grateful for that.

Yes. Sometimes bieng experienced and wise can make us cynical and discouraging. I myself fall into that trap at times. It is hard to find the balance when giving advice between bieng realistic, and forwarding hopelessness. BeaArthur usually gets the balance right.

That's Maude, played by an actress named Bea Arthur.

She was a feminist, and an adversary to Archie Bunker.

Maude actually had a soft heart, underneath it all.

Well, thank you, people! I really appreciate the kind words.

Yes my avatar is somewhat stern, but looked at differently it's kindly.

All of you, have a great day. :)

Sometimes telling it like it is....isn't pretty but we still need to know.

And then there's Maude.....
