Recently I've been making progress with my state of worry and general anxiety and I don't feel as scared or vigilant in public.

This is great for me but now I've have another problem: I keep forgetting to pay for parking with obvious consequences. I've received 3 parking fines in the last 2 months and I'm loosing loads of money.

I've only ever received 1 parking fine in the last 15 years of driving, but now I have 3 more, it's both fascinating and annoying.

So how do you remember to pay for parking if worry and constant vigilance are no longer your chosen method? Maybe I just need to slow down a bit and stop rushing about the place. :?

How and when do you pay? In the city I live in there is an app . The app has a real time countdown timer and reminders. Typically I park in the garage where I pay upon exiting.

I do pay with an app and this was part of the problem. It became so routine and easy that I forgot to pay because I was rushing to get somewhere. You still have to remember to pay in the first place.

That sounds like good advice.

You could also try sticking a note to the dashboard. Use a red marker pen and just write something like, "Have you paid for your parking?".

If you park at the same time every day, set a reminder on your phone. I do that when I need to remember something.

How about wearing a rubber wrist band that has "parking" written on it that you leave in the car all the time. Put it on whenever you to to someplace where you need to park. And take it off after you have paid.
