They always make me really anxious. I got a financial assessment form for care received at home this morning. Basically it wants to know the state of my finances .
On the surface not a problem but I'm getting anxious because it's asking for how much benefits I get weekly and also how much rent I pay weekly.

The thing is I can't quote a weekly figure as I'm on Universal credit which is a monthly payment and includes a sum to cover the rent.

That is making me really anxious and stressed. If it said how much are you getting monthly and how much your rent is monthly I'd have no problem.

I hate how the way, certain questions are worded, it's daunting. Plus I don't write small enough, to fit in half the words into the boxes.

I find it stressful too.

My handwriting is large too, and not too well formed.

I always stuff them up.
Stupid stuff too, like putting my Christian name in the surname box because I'm incapable of following instructions.

They just make me feel like a criminal and that I have to justify my existence to the state. Awful business.

Forms invariably make people feel inadequate and overwhelmed, regardless of your situation. I hate forms, but since I have been working in a field that requires lots of forms and even filling out forms for others, I have gotten pretty good at it and distanced myself from the stupidity of it all. I know it is still stupid, but I don't feel the pain of it so much.

I don't know what it is like in England, but here many of the forms and the various things they ask are meaningless. You could put almost anything in there and it would be ok.

I do all my forms and signatures on the computer. I hate to hand write.

Firemonkey, for your form, just divide each monthly amount by 4.2 for your weekly income. If your benefit describes the percentage or dollar amount for the rent, then you can use that figure. If not, make your best guess. In all likelihood they only care about the total.

That said, it does happen there are "gotcha" questions to exclude people from benefits. Keep a copy of what you submitted in the past and don't change it year to year if possible.

They're a pain in the neck and time-consuming.

forms are annoying for me because they make the font small and hard to read. They also make the boxes you write in too small and i cant fit in everything. i hate forms.

Yes, I absolutely hate paperwork of any form.

Back when I was in the military, I had to document all of my work. ALL, and I do mean ALL, of my paperwork was kicked back by quality assurance for one mistake or another. I still screw up paperwork to the point that I request help filling forms out these days.

I also hate filling out forms. I find them very complicated to comprehend.

The false choice dillemas, not having an option that accurately describes my situation or not having enough room to do so myself. Those are the reasons I hate filling out forms.

Can relate! why can't they print these forms larger, not just for those that are short sighted but people like us, that have larger writing.

I always made other people do them for me like my parents & now my girlfriend. I'm dyslexic & my handwriting is WAY too big & WAY to messy for me to write in those spots.

I find forms very stressful because they don't always ask the questions in a rational way and sometimes mean different things from what the questions actually say. I think the whole thing is really difficult.

I think, as autistic people, some of us might be able to make better forms for people because we can think logically and not make so many irrational assumptions with language.
