Why Do People Think Autistic People Can Do No Wrong?
That is a trend that bothers me too. Thinking we can do nothing wrong, is every bit as wrong and harmful as the opposite in my opinion. It's its own form of if not dehumanizing us, then at least infatilizing us. "They can do no wrong, and if they do something wrong, they don't know what they're doing is wrong."
And it's inaccurate. We are no more or less likely to do right or wrong, and we are every bit as likely and capable of being good and bad and everything in between as anyone else. We come in all shades, and that's not a bad thing, it just means we're human and should be treated like anyone else. This should be a Captain Obvious statement.
