Why do people think autistic people can do no wrong?

So in r/askreddit, someone asked what excuses are worse than "My dog ate my homework?" and I said using autism as an excuse for predator behavior and I talked about an autistic man I knew from Texas who was a predator and would pray on people by asking for inappropriate photos from them and he even asked minors young as 11 for that stuff and he had been kicked off many autism forums for it.

Then I get a get downvotes. As if autistic people are not capable of being a predator and manipulative and I have seen many warnings about this guy on Facebook from other autistic people warning others about him. I was his victim when I was 17 because he coerced me into showing inappropriate photos of myself and he made me feel so special. I know I was stupid but he preys on vulnerable autistic people and says it's his autism that makes him do it. Everyone with autism knows this is bullcrap.

Sometimes that website sickens me, especially if they want to defend a predator just because he is autistic.

And anyone who wants to defend this creep will be added to my foe.

I guess anything is possible including an autistic man being a sexual predator, but I have to think it's far more rare than the general population. Here's why I think that:

A predator is the most apt terminology for someone who preys sexually on victims. A animal predator must not only master knowing everything about how their prey behaves, but animal predators must also be able to make lightening fast moves and decisions. Think of a lioness, tiger or cheetah and how they pursue zig zagging prey at top speed.

In my mind, a sexual predator would be someone who is not only extremely manipulative but is also a person that can adapt to and react to the unknown (ie reactions or actions of their victims) in real time.

Anyone whose personality and mind is such that they must take time to analyze and process brand new and unfamiliar stimuli and they are unable to make lightening fast decisions under stress or a heightened emotional state would be ineffective predators. I'm such a person who is not capable of making fast or real time decisions about unfamiliar problems that may have a whole host of possible options. Not possible for me.

I'm sure there isn't just one type of "cookie cutter" sexual predator, but I envision that a sexual predator would generally also need to be a "smooth talker" and someone who can be or appear very natural and social. Not possible for me.

To be clear, I'm sure that sexual predation isn't just an NT thing, but I have to say I personally don't believe ND males would be more inclined toward such behavior. I think less so to possibly far less so.

If anyone takes the opposite position, I'd like to hear their reasoning.

Also, I'm one who thinks that sexual crimes such as rape should be considered on par with murder in relation to the severest of punishments given. I think a massive failure in our society has been the erosion of the amount of time that perpetrators of sex crimes of all different kinds receive. It's terrible.

It's also become a thing where murderers claim they are autistic in court, to try and see if they'd get let off the hook or something. But that just puts a bad stigma on autistic people.

It's also reddit where unless you post porn you will get a lot of downvotes.

He could have been autistic or he could have been like the ex who emotionally and physically hurt me and be claiming autism because autistic people gravitate towards each other and are easier to manipulate.

Of course we can do wrong though, we're humans like anyone else.

Autistic people can and are predators, school shooters and evil. An autistic person's special interest most certainly can be evil.

I think the idea that Autistic people can do no right is a bigger problem then the idea autistic people can do no wrong.

But who actually thinks this. Are these the same people who in the early 1900's though women couldn't be murderers? I don't know of anyone who thinks this.

I'm sure most of the women who hate on Aspie guys would be quick to accuse them of being predators
