Before age 5: nonverbal, nonconversational.

From age 5 to about age 14-15: verbally fluent, not really conversational. One-sided conversations were the norm.

Nowadays, I'm pretty good at conversation.

Do you know how you became more conversational?

Through therapy, growing up, and practice.

People would tell me that I'm not conversing properly, and tell me why. I probably didn't seem to "listen" at the time. But the advice was taken in subconsciously, and used later, when I was able to understand better.

I scored 25th percentile in Verbal on my ASD test, but I'm not sure what exactly that encompasses. In real life I don't like talking very much at all. I'm selective mute in many situations and very introverted in the remainder. I despise telephones and avoid them. I've never left a voicemail message in my life.

I do have a few friends I'll talk to in spurts of energy, but it's hard for me to follow what they say unless I'm very interested. My receptive verbal abilities aren't great, I suppose. Likewise I'm not very good following or remembering verbal instructions.

I can be reciprocal but it is very conscious, and very learned.

Mostly verbal, but I lose speech under stress which is fairly common.

Maybe... verbally fluent and conversational, but not exactly fluent at the later part? I don't know.

Verbally fluent. I was verbally articulate with careful and precise enunciation at or around age two. I'm verbally fluent and I engage in conversation with family (usually with my eyes closed if I'm explaining something) without issue. I can also engage in conversation with strangers, but only for a limited time before I have a desire to walk away.

Verbally fluent and conversational, though I sometimes have trouble with conversation and answering certain questions.

While i am Verbally fluent and conversational, i prefer not to talk to people because they talk about what sports team did what and social stuff like music contest that i don't care about.

Hey, NT - do you want to talk to me? How about a conversation about machine learning and anomaly detection? No? Then piss off.

Normal people are boring.

I'm capable of conversation, but several people have commented specifically that I "don't talk" or something along those lines.
