So apparently the Predators want to become autistic because it's the next step in human evolution.

Spoiler Alert:

Speaking as a movie goer:

Sounds like "the Plan 9 From Outer Space" of the 21st Century. A movie so campy and bad that it crosses the line into being good.

The Cockney guy narrating the video liked it for that reason- that is was a bit old fashioned and goofy.

Speaking as an autistic:

I don't know what to make of the notion of aliens wanting "to get" autism for themselves as something desirable . I guess that I should find it flattering.

But I am holding out for the autistic equivalent of "Black Panther" to be truly flattered!

My commentary on WP from December 2018.

"some minor spoilers to follow.

The autism is the next stage of evolution theory is an important plot point in the film. The theory is not advocated by the aspie character who is a middle school student but by a scientist character I have not changed my negative opinion of Autism being the next step in human evolution theory and putting said theory in a film. As noted above the portrayal is basically positive. While he is another advanced “Rain Man” (white male, super smart) character he expresses emotions and feelings. It does show sensory overload and others use the insult “ASS burgers” to bully him. These and the evolution plot is suggestive that an autistic person was central to creating and writing the character.

There is another character with Tourett’s."
