I went late on my Effexor by 4 hours. also forgot insulin. There is no one here to remind me if forget them.
bad mood drop.
this is dangerous- It's like stepping of a cliff in the dark.

Is it possible to program a huawei phone to issue an alarm and text message to make sure i don't forget what meds and when I gotta take them?
I keep doing this and it is a distinct hazard.
Any suggestions or ideas, anyone? I never quite mastered the many features of this device.
...
Thank you, WP. I don't know how I could have coped before without your aid.

Almost every cell phone can be programmed to send an alarm at a standard time. Even fairly primitive ones.

I don't know about the text thing and I have no experience with Huawei's. Why don't you google Huawei and "send text". It's probably on a sub-menu somewhere.

Good luck.

thank you, bea.
i did so but it doesn't look like it can. I may have to build one out of a propeller or arduino board, of which i have a supply.

I think you're trying to be funny, or something. But I didn't get the joke. Cultural differences, maybe.

Exactly that, Bea. The "culture" in this case being DIY electronic gadget tinkerers. It might seem odd that someone with those skills would struggle a bit with their phone, but it's more common than people expect - I've been a programmer for well over three decades, but I still get flummoxed if someone leaves me a voice mail! :lol:

@jifmam
If you have to resort to a DIY project, that may not be all bad. I find having a "project" a pretty good shelter from the darkness very often. Be kind to yourself and best wishes.

I use a program on my droid that reminds me to take a couple meds. One I take every 4 days, another every two, & another every 3. There's a notification light on my phone & the alert is listed until I clear it or restart my phone so I can leave it up until I take the med or am ready to take it. I can set the alerts for everyday too & set them for certain times. I probably could have a sound notification but I have those turned off on my phone. Anyways the program I use is called "Date Matter" but it's no longer available on the Play store but I found it again after doing a factory reset on my phone by doing a web search & here's the link~ https://date-matter.en.uptodown.com/android
