In Vermont, there's a summer camp for people with ASD, as well as assorted learning disabilities, called Camp Akeela. Since I started going to it, in the summer of 2015, it has expanded to Wisconsin. The main two camps are for kids 6-16(ish). They also have a mainly Wisconsin-based college prep program, Beyond Akeela. I've been to both the regular in Vermont and Beyond. I just wanted to know if there are any former Akeela campers on this site?

If you've been, did you like it?

Personally, I loved it. At least the two first years. It helped me be more active, more accepting of nature(I hate bees), and more outspoken. Last two years, I was going into high school, and felt too old for regular Akeela. Then in Beyond, I was being treated as a child, with set shower times, phones that was only used for calling, and classes in nutrition. So at 19, I am thoroughly done with Akeela  .

No. I was forced to go to a generalized "special needs" camp for physically disabled kids and the staff was under trained.
