Do you have problems on non ASD forums? Ie people reacting badly to you.

I have problems on a schizophrenia forum with a moderator who goes into knee-jerk , aggressive mode at regular intervals with me. I think it's because he has a negative view of me due to my being on the spectrum.

I've had the occasional misunderstanding, but no more than most other people, I think. However, the only other forums that I use are very specialised, technical ones where the subjects of conversation are very narrow - I've also moderated one of those for a decade or so, and the majority of members seem happy enough with my moderation style.

I don't have major problems on the forums I go on, but this person regularly reacts to me in an aggressive and confrontational manner.

You have folks like that in ALL forums.

They use the forums as sort of a place where they can act like a peacock.

Have you noticed him doing this at all with other members there? If he does "knee-jerk" like this with certain other people, then I'd suspect that he's someone who has let moderation go to his head and thinks that the forum is his own private fiefdom where he can lay down the law - I've seen this before occasionally on technical forums, too. If not, then I'd suspect that, as you say, it's because he's intolerant of autistic people or their style of communication.

I was well-liked on an Internet cat site devoted to the Siamese breed in particular and cats/animals/pets in general.

On a tennis site, I was generally liked, but got some nasty comments. That site had some really nasty comments about the players, even on dedicated threads about that player. For some reason, they hated Rafael Nadal and had pretty nasty comments about Roger Federer and Denis Istomin, too. Istomin is one of the nicest men on the tour, yet he was the subject of some ugly remarks.

The cat site I was on was well-moderated and had the nicest people from all over the world. Some still e-mail me. I recently got an e-mail from a fellow cat lover from Argentina. She knew I was a fan of Roger Bannister and informed me when he passed away. She is also of mixed German and Italian heritage, like me.

Any nasty comments were immediately recognizable as being written by trolls. They were full of bad spelling, bad grammar and fraudulent profiles and were summarily banned.

I've never noticed much negativity towards other people by him. I certainly think he has issues with my style of communication.

A lot of people do act badly on the internet, because it's not real life.
However, if a forum moderator misbehaves, then that's a rare occasion. I think you can try discussing with other moderators about that incident, because generally, forum moderators aren't allowed to be rude to people.

I think WP is the only forum I have actually had the most problems. On non-ASD-specific forums where people don't know I'm on the spectrum, I seem to run into less problems. Maybe it's because there's a lot of black and white thinking here, and unlike most Aspies I see the grey areas in nearly everything. Also maybe we clash on here. It's nothing bad.

Yes, sometimes. On occasions on any forum there can be missunderstandings. The last one I decided to tey to figure out what I had said and yes. What I said and how it was read by the other person was different. It is all sorted. :)
I would recommend that if you can try and sort things without conflict. It really is good when things can be sorted for both people. As lets face it. We don't always come at the same subject from the same angle. And what we put can easily be read a different way by another person, and it is not always easy to tell. So is good to try to put things right if you can. :)

I never have problems for long as I have been banned from 99% of forums I've joined

I haven't been on NT forums. I didn't even know what a forum was until I found WP.

It is best for me to sort things out.
Every now and thwn I get a compressed or constipated claustrophbic mind... I am not sure how to describe it. I don't get it often, but when I do I start to recall a great many things which I have not been able to sort out from the past. It is a horrible feeling... It is like a pressure build up. I have to be careful I don't say or do anything I may regret when I feel this... No idea why it happens... It is almost a homesick (But I am at home) feeling of floating through time but with all pressures of past events I couldn't sort... And it all goes round my mind... And builds up and up with pressure... Ifmit happens it is normally late at night... and it does not happen that often... But when it does... It is not nice and I usually try to pray, and curl up in bed etc. There comes a point where the pressure just dissapears. It lifts. Sometimws I fall asleep and it is as if it never happened. Other times I get it lift.

Anyway. My point being is that the more issues I can sort when they happen (Which is good for everyone concerned anyway as no one likes missunderstandings and bad feelings), the less things I have to keep going round my brain when the claustrophobic mind events begin. Not often do I get them...

Not sure if anyone else gets things like this. It could be some sort of demonic attack? Umm. Last time it happened was about two weeka ago and I wrote about it in here.
