People! Haha!

Well. I try to understand and many I do, but in general, people can be rather puzzling! They seem to think differently. Quite often I have found situations where groups of people turn against me, and sometimes large groups, ans yet I have done nothing wrong. Strange eh! It is as if some sort of demonic influence came over them and started to turn their minds? Rather like the film "The Matrix"...

Most things I understand well... including how the earth works... HAHAHAHA! (I had to say that one out of my humour!)

Well. Yes. People. Those are the puzzling ones for me! Not always though. People who think differently I may understand.

I've never understood why some people say "That is unacceptable" when they are mad.

What exactly are they accepting or rejecting? The situation? The behavior? The person? In any of those cases, surely it's better to accept that challenges exist in order to address them.

Based on my own observations, it seems that this phrase is usually used by a person with more power to assert dominance over a person with less power. It may also be a covert way to make a leader's very subjective emotional response to feeling out of control seem more objective. At least, that's my hypothesis for why my frustrated teachers used it so much.

Music calms me.

Music has bought people together throughout history.

I have a hard time understanding people in general and what their motivations are. I'm very Theory of Mind challenged, so that's probably a big part of it. People are unpredictable in their thoughts, words and actions and that makes me feel very uncomfortable.

I also don't understand:

The cruelty human beings perpetrate on others.
Why everyone doesn't see the basic logic of and the importance of living by the Golden Rule.
Greed and materialism
Neurotypical social interaction
The nuances of "non-verbal communication"
Why some people think it's ok to be excessively loud (e.g. loud music in vehicles, loud vehicles, etc).
Why people like drinking to excess and to the point of vomiting or blacking out.
Why everyone in my state has to pay taxes toward the public school system even if they're paying tuition to a private school for their children or home schooling their children.
Why a person can't legally and officially opt out of paying social security by disavowing any future claim toward such benefits at any future point.
Why an infant in utero has no rights and is not considered a person but if someone kills a pregnant woman (e.g. a drunk driver), the person can be charged with a crime against both the mother and the in utero infant.

I could go on all night.

Why public schools sometimes suck so much—despite the taxes being paid.

Why we celebrate birth and lament death. It should be the opposite.

A birth is a tragedy to me because suffering is permitted. This being will lose everything and it's going to hurt terribly sooner or later. There is no pain in non-existence.

I'm not advocating a lack of breeding as a species or supporting forced euthanasia (although I do support voluntary assisted suicide for those in acute, immutable distress). I just think that people are skewed in their views on birth and death because of the primal drives we've inherited from evolutionary biology.
