Just received a written summary of my recent post diagnosis appointment.

Keeping safe- It says there are no current safety concerns , but because I take things very literally, and at face value ,and struggle to read other people's intentions ,I may be vulnerable to exploitation.

Has anyone else been told this re being literal/very literal?

I get this pounded into my head everyday by my parents who will often times jump in my anus over saying more then 2 words to someone I don't know at the store or something. Generally they feel like because I don't know how to tell people's intentions that I'm liable to be taken advantage of at any point in my life.

It's a challenge to stay safe when you don't recognize danger. I know I don't, which is why I always need someone with me when I go places. I can't read people's intentions and have been taken advantage of and abused by people who pretended they were my friends.
