Do any of you wear velcro shoes, slip-ons, or use elastic shoelaces?

I wear velcro shoes and I have elastic laces in my winter boots.

I wear mostly slip-on shoes. I didn't learn until earlier this year to tie ordinary shoes (and its still not easy)

Never had a problem tying my shoes, though I generally tie them once and just slip them on instead of tying them each time.

I learned the “kid” way at 6, and the “adult” way at 10. A little later than most kids.

I try to keep my shoes tied even if I’m not wearing them.

I learned the regular way using a ribbon on my nightgown, when I was about six. I wasn't shown the "bunny ears" method until I was much older when other people were showing it to children. For some reason, I can't do it that way. I find it more difficult to hold the laces in bunny ears, than the regular method.

I'm 59 years old and I'm full of stories.

Yes, I wear velcro shoes because they are more convenient. Also more slack for slipping into them without re-doing everything.

I learned how to tie shoelaces when I was about 4 years old. I still use the same method. I asked my mother at age 4 if I could go out and play, and she said no. I thought it was because she didn't want to tie my shoes, so I figured it out myself. She still said no. Story of my life...

Fun fact: one of the earliest members of WP (the fifth person to join in 2004) had the username 'TyroneShoelaces'.

All my shoes are slip-ons. I don't have any problems with tying shoelaces, I just think slip-ons look better and are more comfortable, not that I'm one of those Philistines who only considers comfort when dressing.

Had a pair of Velcro fastened athletic walking shoes. They were great. Havent found an equivalent pair since I wore those out years ago.

Shoelaces are the work of the devil.

I don't see why we all cant go back to having buckles on our shoes like they had in the 1700's.

I have learned to tie shoes but if I could find a nice pair of velcro shoes that where comfortable and don't look ugly I'd prefer that. I did find a pair of converse shoes with velcro but I have worn them out so I don't think they would be much good to wear around now.

I also have some teva sandals with velcro its nice because its very easy to adjust so they can fit very comfortably. I got them for around 30$ at a mall with a store that has good brands of shoes but cheaper prices. I was looking at the website because they have shoes to not just sandles and saw that the sandals I got are like 60$. That said they would be worth it but I am glad I was able to find some for half that price.
