I was wondering if this could be symptoms of an autistic Burnout. I have this horrible and intense headache that it feels like someone is hitting my forehead all around including the top of it with a hammer and I have such pain in my ears that I feel like pushing something through my eardrum to see if that will help the pain. This is after I've been dealing with a lot of noise and I haven't slept well and slept very few hours throughout the week.
It sounds more like it has a physical origin to me as this is not what I would normally experience with what is now called an 'autistic burnout', although it could potentially trigger one. Howerver other people on the spectrum may have had a different experience.
1 I would consider ruling out other physical causes that may or may not be an issue for you (ie i have a problem with the joint at the top of my neck, tinnitus and a history of sinus problems all of which can cause me head pain at times so you might want to consider an seeing an ENT or chiropractor for a check).
2 Rest and don't do anything that worsens the head pain.
3 Drink plenty of water and avoid too much caffiene if it is likely to make your pain worse (although in some cases a small amount of caffiene can help).
4 Eat a clean healthy diet and avoid too many painkillers especially if it becomes chronic. Use of painkillers for chronic pain is not recommended. Use natural methods instead.
5 Ring someone for medical advice if needed and don't poke anything into your eardrum as it will most likely make the pain worse!
I hope things get better for you.
