Only if I find a series or movie that interests me.

No. I don't look at stills, either.

You mean the comic books?

Arent those called "manga'?

Then there is "hentai". Not sure what that is. Maybe hentai is the porno version of manga. Or is it the porno version of animi ?

I dunno.

We need some younger generation person to straighten this all out for us.

Someone from the animi cognoscenti! :)

Asking "do all autistics do" something is like asking "do all *people* do" something. Because, you know, we're people too.

Although I did watch anime a bit as a kid, and was fascinated by it. I hardly ever watch anime wouldn't have a clue if people started gushing about modern anime characters and episodes.

Obviously not all autistics do. I happen to be one that does though...

Pokemon counts. It's an anime and a creator, Satoshi Taijiri happens to be a "high functioning" autistic.

Your Japanese comic book is indeed called Manga

Hentai can be translated as a couple things, but in terms of Hentai anime or manga it means it's pornographic material.

I assume most people saying Anime is "too flashy" are only familiar with main stream shounen types. Something like Dragon Ball (or one of the sequels) for instance would fit that bill. There are so many others though that can have rather different look and feel.

I'm More of an childish person myself. And I'm More obsessed with western cartoons, I'm currently watching DuckTales reboot.

My girlfriend has Asperger and she used to watch anime when she was younger.

It's interesting how the OP asked do *all* autistic *individuals* watch anime and didn't see the irony in their own question.

My true special interest has always been Golden Age western animation, especially Disney. I still occasionally watch Disney and other cartoons that are mostly from the 1930's and 40's.

I liked Ghost In The Shell. I think I would like other anime cartoons if I gave them a chance and had the patience to watch

Not really. I've watched some and haven't hated all of it but for the most part it really doesn't keep me interested.

I guess then you wouldn’t have interest even in Vinland Saga. It’s probably the best depiction of Nordic/Viking culture in all fiction.

The title of the post says "all"

If there is one exception, the whole statement is wrong

Based on the responses to the original post, the whole statement is wrong

I like anime aesthetics to some extent but I practically don't watch any TV series and seldom even movies. Watching series or movies does not seem to suit for my brain very well. It probably has to do with my short attention span.
