I don't think I've had a physical meltdown for at least a decade. But lately, I'm feeling the same kinds of feelings I would have when I had meltdowns. But I just run away somewhere secluded and cry my eyes out for hours at a time. (Because my parents used to record me to embarrass me in an attempt to get me to stop. I said it was to show the psychiatrist. No, they were just trying to embarrass me. "Listen to how ugly you sound!"
Of course they would deny this today. I'm just thankful YouTube did not exist back then and we didn't have a video recorder or internet back then.
I used to bang my head against the wall as a kid when having a meltdown. I would always get horrible headaches after having meltdowns. I always figured it was from the head-banging. I don't bang my head anymore but still get the same intensity headaches when I get really upset and basically have a meltdown. What triggered the meltdown, probably several different things.
