Hello friends! I posted a couple months ago about how I was going for official testing (at the University of Kansas in case you are curious). So after three appointments and ten hours of testing, I had a feedback session and officially am diagnosed level one autism spectrum disorder and social anxiety. I am actually super excited for it to be official because now I can have accommodations at my university and will be starting cognitive behavioural therapy in January. I already knew in my mind and in my heart what the results would be since my own research as to why I was different was what led me there, so nothing was surprising. All in all it gave me closure and the ability to tell people that it is official, as well as it opens new doors into finding ways to improve so I am really happy to have done this. Just wanted to let you guys know. :)

Is the CBT for your anxiety?

They didn't tell me a whole lot regarding that, it was just what they recommended. But I would suppose so. I will mainly be working on getting over the social anxiety first because that would allow easier improvement in developing better social skills. Also I'm not sure what they can do regarding noise sensitivity issues but that would be super beneficial and I will ask. (Fingernail trimmers and those plug-in ultrasonic pest repellers are the bane of my existence lol.)
