Are you taking anything for it?

Be on guard for depression. I had the flu one time so bad that I was almost suicidal depressed for days afterwards. It's weird stuff, and that Z pack (spelling?) they give for it is pretty cool. Maybe you can get well soon--hope so.

By the way, watch your temperature. The flu can kill you if you get too hot, so stay warm--but not too much.

I had the flu last March and it was horrid. While I only suffered for 3 or 4 days, it felt like an eternity at the time. My forehead was literally red hot, I ached all over, my skin was so sensitive to touch that it felt like I was covered in bruises or burns, my cheeks had swollen, my body temperature kept switching from hot to cold, I lost my appetite, I had a bad cough and sinus congestion, I had migraine, and I could barely walk. The only symptom I didn't have was a sore throat.
But I prefer all that to norovirus (I have emetophobia).

Anyway, hope you feel better soon. Just keep yourself warm and hydrated.

The only time I can remember getting the flu was the one year I got the flu shot

Last time I had the flu, I thought I was dying. I couldn't get out of bed to see the doctor.

I was at work in the morning feeling fine but by the afternoon someone had to drive me home because I could barely walk let alone drive. Then I spent 5 days in bed hardly able to move. The whole thing lasted 3 weeks and even then I didn't feel 100%.

Treat yourself gently, don't try to do too much. Staying hydrated is really important. Watch for secondary infection, you'll need meds from the doctor then.

I had the flu last week. Started exactly 7 days ago. I'm feeling pretty good now. Back to my old self.

Sorry about that. Drink plenty of liquids, get plenty of rest etc. etc.

I was put on Mucinex DM (because the virus was focused on my lungs) and Naproxen Sodium to reduce my feaver and pain (although Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen work just as well). Lots of Vitamin Water and Gatorade. Lots of bed rest.
