Does anyone see patterns in life? Can you anticipate the outcome before it takes place through the formation of these patterns?

Patterns, Simon & Garfunkel

Yes, my life is full of patterns. I see them everywhere except in my own behaviour. It takes me a long time to notice patterns in the way I act or feel, likely because of alexithymia.

Yes. I am a pattern learner. Once I see a pattern, it is set in.

Definitely. Patterns are our way of avoiding being caught twice in the same trap.

I like it. We see patterns everywhere except the "pattern that is me".

Yes.

I see the patterns of peoples behaviours and after some time I learn to anticipate them before they happen, then the NT's get angry because im working several steps ahead of them

You have grasped what I mean by patterns. :)

Presumably even animals can see "patterns" (of behavior in other species, for example) and can use them. Like your kitty will knock things off your bed room dresser because she has noticed it causes you humans to jump out of bed, and let her out.

It would be nice if you were to explain more fully what you meant by "patterns" in the original posts.

I see patterns in things. People are not my best. Patterns helped in the last line of work and gave an advantage over NT's.

Yes,I see patterns in things all of the time. This has happened for a very long time in my life. I can see patterns in visual ideas on occasion that can be useful in inventing something new.

Can you describe how you see patterns in behavior?

Well. I pick up on little clues. Think of a game of chess where I can learn a lot by examining the spaces that the players are not on so I am able to anticipate future moves. (I am not saying I can do this with chess. I am saying the principles behind it).
I am not a quick thinker, but I am a deep thinker. I re-examine a certain situation or subject again and again and again from many different angles, so I am examining what is said or seen or heard etc and also adding a pattern of what is not said or seen or heard as if it was a blueprint imposed on top of what is said, seen and heard etc which develops into a whole picture and therefore the patterns of the picture can show me the outcome... If that makes sense?
Well. Let me give you a simple example. I am currently on benefits as I had hit burnout a few times. (Each time I hit burnout I was not fully recovered from the last time... So each time I hit burnout, the things I was able to do were becoming less and less. I became so fragile with the last burnout that I hit that I realized that if I was to sink any lower due to another burnout, I could lose the ability to walk and drive etc which would leave me semi stranded due to where we live.
The benefits people sent me to be assessed to see if I was ready to work. Now the next meeting the lady in my local benefits office said she wanted to phone me instead of me coming in. I am not keen on phone calls but I will do them if needed.
Now my analitical thinking is to think why she would want to phone instead of me meeting her face to face? As the next meeting will most likely have the results of the work assessment, my analitical mind says that she wants to phone instead of meet me face to face as I will likely be upset with the results, and I will be told I need to look for work. Now I know I am not ready yet to work or face the stress of looking for work (I personally find the looking for work can be more stressful then the doing work though it depends on the job), so I am concerned, as it really looks like the lady has news lined up which would cause me concern because she does not want me to be physically present incase I get annoyed. Now I am not like that. I do not take it out on anyone. I am one to walk away and say "Forget it".
Now if the lady had carried on with our next sceduled meeting as a face to face one like the others had been, I would not be concerned as I would not be asking why she wanted the next meeting to be over the phone rather then face to face.
It is just a simple example of seeing patterns which I expect to play out in certain ways based on the evidence and subtle changes where I analyse the outcome.

From my observations, the irritation occurs when the NT's arent allowed to continue through their pattern as they expected because i have just made it obselete by skipping to the end. Eg, at work instead of going through the routine saying hello, exchange pleasantries, listen to them talk about something irrelevant then make my request, I can sometimes abruptly cut them off and blurt out my demands. Even if im polite about it i find that the NT's are more likely to do what they say they are going to if you make sure they are happy and following their routines, otherwise they tend to bump my requests for other peoples work and im left waiting or chasing work.

Uhmmm. Sometimes I find I end up in the back of the queue too.
