List the best before/use by dates of your lunch and freezer foods .

No, I don't either. When I'm shopping for a product (e.g., milk) I'll rummage through the shelves to find the farthest best before date. I won't use dairy or eggs more than a day or so after the expiry. Everything else is pretty much fair game especially if it's frozen. It's occasionally a deciding factor when I choose what to cook from the freezer but not often. I don't make a list of the dates either.

I mostly eat vegetables, and pretty much have to buy them fresh everyday. Eggs, canned fish or beans are the only things that might have a "best by" date on them, and they don't ever survive long enough to worry about.
