Here in the UK we get Haynes car manuals. They also have expanded i to other areas. Would the principle work with autism? I mean... All the common traits listed and some of thw variations. What the terms mean. A basic test to see if one should get assessed or not. A section on feelings where feelings are described so one has an idea what they are. A section of advice on common triggers to shutdowns and meltdowns. Advice on what a burnout is and what to do when one faces or hits a burnout. How to access help when needed, etc.
Basically a manual that people can buy because it is in a clear format and is set up as a type of diagnostic and also an information book, where it also describes other similar conditions as well.

Here, we get "______ for Dummies".  It's sort of like the Yankee equivalent of "Noddy's Guide to ______".

Yes. I have heard of that. I picked up a secondhand "Windows 98 for dummies" a year or two ago.

What about one which is more for adults? (With a section about children just to give a better understanding about the background etc and what to look for).

Aimed to help adults (Or teenagers etc) who are looking for answers when they realize they may be on the spectrum which doubles up as a book to help those on the spectrum have a reference point for the many associated traits and other related conditions similar to or associated with autism.

Actually, the AfD is for adults, not just "Dummies".  It was written for people who haven't a clue, but want to learn ... which would seem to apply to most NTs who are "woke" about autism.

Those Haynes manuals are specific to particular car models, and contain numerous errors and omissions mixed in with very useful tips.

Tony Attwood has a number of books that might fit the bill. The Complete Guide to Asperger's might be a good start.
