I had a very long conversation with my case manager today...

I said "I keep trying to explain this to the doctors... But I have meltdowns... I feel like nobody understands..."

He responded with: "you think you are our only client with meltdowns???"

I'd like to meet these people... I really need to talk with people with similar issues, I need to look up support groups maybe idk...

When I lived in the other town, one lady befriended me just because she saw me have a public meltdown and recognized it immediately... Because her grandson according to her was extremely similar... I also talked to a pastor today I knew from my older place of residence that told me he was a diagnosed aspie.

There has got to be others somewhere, I have such a desire to be around others similar to me...

The meltdowns in my case are really disabling... I've improved my social skills greatly over the years, but the meltdown problem doesn't want to go away...

Oh, gawd ... the old "You think you're the only one who has problems" dismissal.  Is your case manager an MSU graduate?  They're the worst when it comes to actually helping people.  Can you get another case manager?  I hope so...
