How many have difficulties (or very little in the way of difficulties) in being self-starters?

If someone didn't poke me with a stick every now and again, I will simply "become one" with my surroundings.

So, ya. No self starter here. :nerdy:

That is complex. Yes, I can very much be a self-starter and dive right in. But I also need the right incentives. At work it can be easy, but for personal projects, I need a too identify a project and create enough critical mass to over come inertia.

Executive functioning often factors into difficulties.

Without anyone involved -- mostly no problem.
With anyone involved -- yes for countless reasons.

More often than not, I'm personally the opposite; that is those awesome (understanding of AS/HFA) people who sometimes have give those nudges.

If I'm the only one who benefits...yeah, right, maybe this year...or the next.
If others benefit...I'm up before the sun and won't stop 'til it's done or dark.

I can be a really ambitious self starter and throw all of my energy into a single task, but I find if I let myself slack-off or fall out of routine I can get to comfortable with that and lose my motivation. To ensure I don't lose my motivation I have to remind myself of my distractions and to get back on track. I use a lot of notes and reminders lol I also tell myself that it is okay to have an off days or weeks since it's impossible to stay 100% productive all the time, otherwise I will just label myself as lazy and put stuff off again.
