I still haven't been very bold enough to visit the places I regularly visited due to this crisis and with seeing a rise in cases it makes me more apprehensive and at the same time I am beginning to miss doing these things outdoors and it upsets and frustrates and leaving like a year of life so far is being wasted away. It even annoys me when some people don't stick to rules and guidelines in order to limit the risk to others and still go down the beach is masses and not social distancing. I won't even visit the hairdressers for a trim because the new conditions make me feel uncomfortable and with people touching my hair and haven't had one since February and really my hair hasn't grown all the way down below my shoulders in that time and I have been trimming it myself. I want to go back out there without having to feel worried and anxious and wearing my mask and sanitising my hands all the time even thinking I might even not be able to do any christmas shopping due to the crisis in December and that I will still be in that mindset of not always going out except to work and come home again.

The media WANT you to feel fearful and panicky. If you take basic precautions such as a mask when inside the shop, you'll be OK. The lockdown here is still on at a lower level but with some ridiculous restrictions, and getting so tired of it all. Places such as libraries and gyms haven't reopened yet, and booze and tobacco still banned. (doesn't affect me much as a non smoker and almost never drink, but I believe in freedom).

I go out to the stores regularly but we have to sanitize and have temperature taken digitally at the door. If someone tests positive at any supermarket or store they close for a day or two until everything has been sanitized. But I'm not going to get nervous or fearful. I don't wear a mask in the fresh outdoor air such as when running; only to the stores.

I have been up and about for the past 3 months quite regularly. I just take proper precautions. I have been to the barbers twice. They cut my hair while I wear the mask. They spend a lot more time sanitizing their work area.

I eat at restaurants. But I only eat at restaurants that have outdoor seating. This is a safe approach.

I have gone to the YMCA several times. I only go there to swim. The pool is chlorinated and I cannot think of a safer place to be in the time of the coronavirus.

I have been to big box stores weekly and to the grocery stores weekly, since the lockdown began. I had an old N95 mask that I wore religiously every time I was up and about. And I sanitized the mask with UVC light sanitizer box after each use. The one mask lasted me 4 months before it became to ratty to use.

Now the malls are beginning to open up. The one near me is around 30% open. But most stores are closed. But we traveled an hour and a half away to another mall and it was about 90% open. The mall was packed with people. I think there were more people than before the pandemic. People were wearing mask and practicing social distancing. Some stores controlled the number of occupants in the stores, so they had a line for entrance into the stores. Most stores had a hand sanitizing gel station at the entrance to their stores.

Generally speaking most stores and businesses are open. Sometimes the waits are longer because many of their employees are not working.

Service jobs like plumbers, electricians, repairmen are all backed up. There are tremendous wait times to get things done. Also many part supply chains are disrupted, making it difficult to repair things.

The movie theaters have not opened up. They may wither and die forever. And that is a shame.

People have transformed and now order everything over the internet. If you want to have your hair cut, you set up an appointment time on-line and then show up. If you want a Starbucks, you order on-line and then go to the Starbucks to retrieve you order. Need groceries, you order on-line and then show up at the store and they bring the groceries out to your car. Everyone uses cashless technology such as credit cards/debit cards/store cards. If you are like me, a person without an advanced smart phone, you are lost in this new world.

There is a shortage of coins, so now if you use cash, you might not get the change back.

When you buy something in a store, they now have queue lines marked off for where you can stand waiting your turn to pay for the goods you are purchasing. If you press a little too close, then you are invading people's safe spaces.

There is a major loss of chit-chat. People are rushed. There is no longer the friendly banter between folks.

I feel sorry for the employees that have to wear masks during their entire shifts, day in and day out. It is almost claustophobic. I only wear my mask when I am indoors. Masks are not generally required outside because the sunlight and breeze dramatically reduce the viral loads. I do not use public transportation and that threat is not an issue for me.

I didn't have to wear my mask for my haircut but the hairdresser did. She can't cut properly if there's a mask covering my face.

I feel some researchers may be getting paid to NOT produce a vaccine until a certain time! Why is it taking so long when we have so many hi tech resources at our fingertips.

I doubt I'd take one though - the high risk people need do so though. But I am a fan of extra vitamins and minerals.

I've never known a virus to cause such overreaction and fear though, and harming so many economies. It didn't really help because so many are still getting affected especially in the US. In my country we hope to reach peak soon, and 2/3 of the original cases have recovered. I'm sorry so many passed from this, but it seems the lockdown wouldn't have made much difference if any. In my opinion, of all the world's countries NZ handled this really well and got off very lightly!
