I am not sure why, but I do tend to be a bit all or nothing. Does this make sense?

Can you provide examples so that I might understand better?

Let me think... Things like talking. If I am happy I will talk and talk and talk. If someone criticizes mw I will go for a period of not saying anything and withdraw.
But in other things I am a bit all or nothing too. I aas wondering if it makes sense to anyone else?
If I happen to meet a lady who finds me attractive, I will tell her everything in a short period of time until I have nothing much left to say and I go quiet. It is a different all or nothing I know. Then it usually collapses as I have run out of ways to impress the person. A similar thing goes with when I join websites. At first pwople are very interested in me. Then they get bored and fed up after I write and write and write and keep repeating things without realizing it... Then I tend to go quiet. Is all or nothing again. I seem to repeat this all or nothing type of thing.

I can't think of examples specifically at the moment. Only general examples.

I've often called myself very all-or-nothing. If a job's worth doing, it's worth spending the rest of your life on at the expense of everything else. Or that's what anybody would think I believed if they watched me for a while. I guess it's hyperfocus, perfectionism, special interests, and black-and-white thinking. Everything's like an obsession with me.

There was some Zen chappie who somebody asked, "what makes you Zen types different from everybody else?" and he replied that Zen people exactly the same things as everybody else, "but when we breathe, we really breathe (etc.). It's rather like that with me.
