Even after finally getting rid of Trump, the insanity continues. Trump supporters continue to insist that the election is fraud and evangelical pastors continue to preach that no matter what Trump will still win. Across the country self-proclaimed prophets insist that God himself has revealed to them to Trump is the winner.

I'm tired of the politics. I'm tired of the evangelical craziness. I'm tired of all the science and reality denial.

And I am seriously scared of violence breaking out across the country.

Why can't I live in a normal country where people think and act in normal ways? I wish I could just get up and move to Germany or Canada or Japan or some place where things make sense.

But, of course, I have no money and no marketable skills. So I'm stuck.

You will sing a different tune on January 20th—when President Biden takes office.

Yeah.....I’m tired of the bull crap, too!

By the way: Merry Christmas.

Why? Will the far-right suddenly come to their senses and abandon their delusions? I don't foresee that happening and it sounds painfully naive when Biden talks like it's guaranteed to happen when the reality is that they're not going to improve or become reasonable.

Canada is crazy too, just more polite. The evangelicals here also think that Trump is not at all like the Anti-Christ, and wish he were here. I know one who also thinks the earth is flat. The government keeps talking about building a sustainable future, but they blow our money on dead-end disasters, and basically donate the military to the US. The Police don't kill as frequently, but they are similarly immune from prosecution. There's major agitation around the missing and murdered indigenous women, but dead silence on twice as many indigenous men and boys, enforced by the "equality!" people.

Canada is like America if America actually took her crazy pills. All the same potential for crazy but slightly more controlled/better masked.

There are very few people who are truly “far right.” Most people just go according to the trends. When Trump is gone, only the crazy fanatics will go for him.

I never said Biden was a “savior” or anything. He’s a politician, like most politicians. He’s just more calm and more sane than Trump. The nation knows we need sanity and restraint. Trump made everything very tense.

Did you just say "Merry Christmas"?! How dare you?! !!

The bullcrap was here before Trump became president and will still be here after he's gone. I still felt much the same way even back when Obama was president.

Happy Saturnalia!

In Canada, people won’t honk at you if you’re driving a bit slow (except on Toronto highways).

Crazy fanatics and the disillusioned have been going for 'him' for ages (long before he was there to coalesce around). The portion of the right that has enthusiastically latched on to him has existed for ages; some of them have identified as paleoconservatives or as part of the libertarian movement, others might describe themselves less specifically as conservatives or patriots or whatever. They're not all outspoken and they often don't vote. They're skeptical of America's overseas entanglements and don't really see eye-to-eye with neoconservatives. This is the block that fuelled the Tea Party's growth, you're underestimating how popular these views are.

These people aren't often very visible politically because it's rare for someone to openly court them as a political block, but as the Republican Party realigns itself more closely with this bloc you'll see they're not a tiny minority even if they're not enough to win elections by themselves.

By the way I'm not angry that you said Christmas. I'm angry because you used a period rather than an exclamation mark.

Don't come to the UK - it's ran by rich Tories that want to demolish the NHS altogether and expect everyone in the country to be rich enough to afford to go private, even though most of us have relied on the NHS all our lives and haven't got any health insurance like they do in other countries. But in the last election Tory supporters made Labour supporters feel guilty for voting Labour because apparently Corbyn was supporting terrorism, which I don't know if it's even true or not. I'm never going to be tricked by Tory supporters again - I'm voting Labour next time even if the Labour leader turned out to be the culprit for this coronavirus pandemic. (That last part was sarcasm, please do not take literally).

Trump and the Republicans are at loggerheads now. There are sensible Republicans ready to take the Party from Trump.
