Appointments are hard
I have both Autism and Schizophrenia. I try to take my medication everyday. Right now I feel at my healthiest. My self esteem is high and I'm managing very well. However I'm still struggling when it comes to Psychiatrist and Counselling appointments.
I have processing issues and it takes me a while to answer the questions. I recently apologized to my psychiatrist because I thought he said something different from what he actually said. It was really embarrassing. I have a feeling that he doesnt like me.
I have a new counselor that I like. I just find the appointments hard because it's a lot of talking and processing information. I'm opening up though.
Crystal, I don't know if this is something easy for you, but as a professional he should be able to handle questions: ask him flat out, "Do you have a problem with me: I have a feeling you do? Here is why..." tell him your reasons. If anything he'll respect you more unless he's really that insecure, in which case, it's time fer you to bail on him.
I once had a GI Doc try to stare me down, I was very close to telling him to eff off, and lighting into him even more but I realized it would have gotten me nowhere: I got a new doc
Good luck,
DIVAIR
EDIT: I've noticed a whole lot of these guys have egos you could land a helicopter on

I see A psychiatrist not face-to-face anymore because of coronavirus at any time I do have appointments I take a note with me and hand it to the psychiatrist, Dr or whoever it is I need to say. It is much easier. It means less chance of missing important things out and it also saves time.
Do you think that would help you?
My aspergers means my responses are delayed, If this is the case with you could you say to your psychiatrist questions might occur to you after the appointment and would it be okay to ask them at a later time Or give them information they need at a later time?
It is not professional for the psychiatrist to dislike his patience I am sorry you feel this way is there any chance you could get another one?
I have worked with staff who are not very patient with me and it is difficult.
You are a patient and you do deserve the duty of care that this psychiatrist has towards you.
