Wandering if I score poorly because I have Learning Disorder
I felt confused and I thought that I have Mental Retardation, this confusion started when I looked through my very old and outdated document written in Hebrew that stated that they suspected me of having PDD-NOS and Mental Retardation Unspecified.
It turns out that I misunderstood and I thought that I have Mental Retardation, but then I realized that they wrote in Hebrew that I have problems with doing math. My other report in Hebrew stated that in my early childhood I had communication delays, difficulty with social behaviors, unusual play with toys and other objects, had preoccupation with fantasy (imagery friends), had paranoia that caused my great distress, had repetitive body movements and patterns of behaviors, sometimes had self-injurious behaviors when I was frustrated and had language delay.
I am actually am very intelligent and I needed to understand that the document I read is very old and outdated and they did not measure my intelligence very well and they did not have the tools to accurately measure intelligence before 2013.
I have history of having lower IQ for my age, but on the there hand of the history, I think that it is just my profound Learning Disorder that hinders what my true intelligence is. Because my IQ became higher when I was 15 years old.
I asked my mom how low was my IQ, she said that my IQ was very low at the age twelve, but she also explained to me that she thinks that they don't measure intelligence accurately when it comes to server cases of Learning Disorders.
I once looked though old documents of SARC and it said that I have Borderline Intellectual Functioning. I feel like I doubt that, because I see the world in a completely different way and I improved a lot over the years. What my low IQ could have been in the past does not effect me today.
My conclusion is that I have Dyscalculia and Dyslexia, because I have trouble with writing and pronouncing some words for my age. However I am just speculating, I don't know what diagnosis of Learning Disorder I have. But if I find out that I have a diagnosis of Intellectual Disability, I am willing to go to a psychologist to take an IQ test again, because I am very intelligent.
I am aware that I have a diagnosis of Pervasive Developmental Disorder, but I don't know what diagnosis I have that causes me to have uneven skill development.
