I am. Who else and what makes you tick?

I do this mostly when on the phone, if the conversation gets intense or anxiety-provoking. People I don't talk to often, that gets me going. I also do it in situations where I'm stressed otherwise. I control it strictly in the presence of others. Interestingly enough, I never knew until my kids were diagnosed that what I did was called "flapping".

I flap my hands, flap my arms, flap my feet, and bounce my legs.
Different things set me off.

yes, but only when semi private.

I also twist my hand up by my ear when I'm frustrated, as if I have a gear up there I can realign to fix me or the person likely misunderstanding me at the moment. It's really stupid, but ironically I do feel better having done so.

I do it, but NEVER around someone other than myself. I do it when I'm really excited.

Occasionally, somewhat, when I get overly excited

My boyfriend says I do it but I haven't done it since Spokane he says when I was buying all this 101 Dalmatians stuff.

Yes. Anxiety/stress is the cause to me.

I clench and unclench my hands a lot., sometimes flap I guess (I always called it "one hand clapping" lol), and use my thumb to pop the knuckle on each finger one at a time, in order.

For the most part though, I'm a "rocker". I'm only now realizing just how often I rock - when I'm reading, when I'm concentrating, and especially when I'm upset. It's funny, I never considered it inappropriate to do in public until I read other peoples' comments about it.

I don't exactly hand flap but I kind of finger flap - it happens when I have really intense thoughts, when I'm creating movies/stories in my head, when I'm imagining scenarios, and when I think about my obsessions.

I flap my hands when I'm excited. I've only noticed today, thanks to this thread.

Yeah, I never noticed how much rocking I did until I got dxed and started noticing it all the time lol.

I'm a finger flapper, not a hand flapper. Like the one handed clap, but with my fingers all flailing around differently.

Flapper here. Both hands. Usually when anxious or excited. But I don't do it in front of anyone else.

Funny, my stims have changed over time. I used to not hand flap. Now I do.
