What are some of the coolest and most unique or weird things you’ve heard another autistic/aspie say? Or just bizarre things they do?

I wish I could think of more but only a few come up in my memory. One friend has his colorful paintings on his walls and has changing colorful lights projected on there. He says he likes watching his art “breathe” as he relaxes in the living room. He also said he likes having black sheets on his bed because he likes to imagine he’s a bear sleeping in a cave.

I like charcoal grey sheets and blankets so I can be inside a thunderstorm. ^

Don't know if this counts but I remember watching an autism documentary years ago where a teenage boy with Asperger's had lost his mum due to cancer. He told the camera how he felt about it, he took another breath and said, "but, as we all know, life goes on, and she wouldn't want me to be miserable, so I've got to be strong..." and even just thinking of those words still makes me cry. Such a brave little man.

I copy/pasted this from another thread because I think it's one of the coolest things I have ever "heard."

I will go with what I used for my signature.
“My autism is not a superpower. It also isn’t some kind of god-forsaken, endless fountain of suffering inflicted on my family. It’s just part of who I am as a person”. - Sara Luterman

When my principal walked into the classroom, one of my ASD kids said:

Unexpected item in bagging area.

I just couldn’t contain myself :D :D :D

I tend to be a minimalist too, just like the most famous (undisclosed) aspie. But the actual quote is " 640K ought to be enough for anyone"

Being an early adopter of EVs, I think I avoided ever saying "100 miles of range ought to be enough for anybody". But I did promote the idea that it might be enough for many.

No what he actually said was "Hey baby, i'm micro soft, but let me insert my floppy and give you a hard drive full of RAM"
