For as long as I can remember, I've always loved blankets. When I'm with my family in the mornings, I'll wrap myself in one and shape it into a robe with a hood. From this vantage point I can talk without needing to look anyone in the eye. I think, for me, it's a kind of refuge. Do you have any place or object of refuge?

When I was young I would always huddle in my blanket like a turtle before I got dressed. :)

Dude! Even living in FL, I CANNOT sleep unless a) I am huddled in this furry blanket with teddy bears decorating it and b) I can roll from side to side till I pass out... (oh wait that's a stim isn't it?)... It was really cute on our roadtrips when my rommate's border collie would come snuggle up too :) I miss those old road trips... why'd that kid move to Hawaii again? And take his dog with'im?

I also use a blanket as a refuge. I find comfort also in my beloved books and movies.

Either on the Rail-Trail or at the York Emporium. Those are my favorite hiding places.

OHHH MY GOD!! Ive never heard of anybody doing this, ohhh man u dont know how happy that makes me i have done this my entire life, when i was little id do it with my arm under my body but i got older, bigger and the blood started not flowing in the arm, so now i have to rock with it in front of me, hahahaha, i seriously beleived i was the only person on earth that did it, sucked for my family i would hit the wall doing it and wake everyone up all the time, so they would have to start putting rails up on my bed or even move me a bit, sometimes id do it in my sleep.

I used to drag this hoodie around when I was a kid as a sort of security blanket. I was in cub scouts on a camping trip and somebody gave me the nickname Linus for always dragging it around everywhere I went. It stuck with for quite a while after that.

I've always been big in wrapping myself up in a cocoon with a comforter even when it's warm out. Must have something to do with the sensation of being pressured all over at once.

I made tents out of tons of pillows and would cubby hole up inside where it was nice and dark and soft. Now it is my room and a shut and locked door. Makes me feel very calm unless there is noise going on outside my door... then I feel caged.

My refuge...hmmm

Well for about the past eight years I've slept in a sleeping bag at night. I don't know why I do that, it just seems to calm me down as I cannot sleep without it :)
