I'm looking for a book to help one of my students who is trying to understand his autism and how he fits into the world. He feels quite angry about the way people with autism are viewed and written about by neurotypicals but hasn't yet come across anything written by an autistic author.

I'd really appreciate some reccommendations. I've thought about 'The Reason I Jump' but I've never read it myself. Are there any other books that would be suitable and relatable for a 14 year old? He is bright, funny, literal, and struggles to understand that not everything written about autism applies to him. He wants to be a teacher, but his family have very much put a ceiling on what they believe he can achieve, and suggested he could work at a garden centre.

Many thanks :)
