Why most law enforcement that are older are statistically more trained to handle people like me?

I have history of mental health crisis related to bipolar 1 disorder and developmental delay related to ADHD and Autism Spectrum disorder.

More experience and more chance to get special training, maybe steadier when others are in crisis due to being more mature?

autisticelders is correct.

Training is better nowadays, but experience beats training most times, as you find out what works and what doesn't.

There are many regional variations. As a male in Canada, I have learned to never call the Police without getting expert advice, even if it is an emergency.

Older officers tend to be more mature. Most of them aren't stuck in having something to prove.
