For the remainder of 2022...

- Finally stage my next, covid-delayed theater project.
- Continue shooting my feature film (a huge project, impossible to finish this year).
- Finish post-production work on 2 short films.
- Somehow encourage my AS teenage son to do better in school.
- Take a trip with my sons.
- Maintain my exercise and healthier-eating routine.
- Have enough income to qualify for permanent foreign resident status.
- Publish more photography.
- Take an international trip with my partner.
- Improve my wretched Mandarin.
- Better organize my home.
- Write.

If I could live my life over, I would go to Berlin in my late teens or 20s and try to stay there.

About 15 years ago I was briefly in Germany, Cologne - just for an hour or two as I travelled on to Hungary. But while I was there I felt an overwhelming sense that I was 'home'. I can't explain it but I've always wanted to go back and find out more but haven't yet managed it.

Successfully refrain from getting made redundant, gaining weight or circumference, getting involved in drama, getting a civil lawsuit, getting sent to jail, getting physically injured. Keep incurred expenses to a minimum

Eat less candy and bread. ( Been trying and failing to do that since 2018)

Sometimes just maintenance takes too much energy and effort. Improvement ain't happening

Not going to jail could be a good goal, especially for people who tend to stay there periodically.

It's only worth getting sent to jail in a game of monopoly.

I went for the experience, and to get rid of a stack of parking tickets. Consequently, I was not afraid later to refuse to pay an unjust fine, which was then dropped.

Just me, and fairly simple, I guess:

-take care of my mother till it goes (she has no one else and doesn't want state; she's right, as they'd be terrible with her disorder. It's also handy I have nowhere else to live)
-look after the house and such when that goes; made a promise there
-return to private investigating (I think I'll be functional enough)
-leave little in the way of footprints

I'm about as good as I can get mentally (which isn't too bad considering). Physically, as long as I can do what I need to do, I'm fine.

I used to have lofty goals like owning my own animation studio.

Now it's more like:

-- Finish drawing my children's picture book
-- Find a better paying, less stressful job
-- Be able to afford to go to Disneyland when I want to
