Does someone who probably has AS think you do and deny probably having it themself? (Someone has to make the title allowance longer!)

My mother is like that. Once when my father was tired of her starting a conversation about how the cat was going to have kittens for the fifth time in two or so days, he said, exasperated, that she had Asperger's. He also remembers this "ridiculous" obsession she had with Victorian England years ago. He also thought/knew that she was a social misfit. :D She was the one who used to go on and on about me having AS and many times she said it with exasperated disdain; it made me feel horrible. My father also once said when my mother was talking to him about me having AS that he knew a guy at work who "acts like that" (said with disdain).

It's fun to hear! :D

It's certainly easier to see it in others than yourself. I think it's because it's harder to watch yourself. If you had someone video taping you throughout the day and if you watched it, maybe you would see it. I just thought I was fine and the rest of the world was messed up.
