Did anyone miss me?

I am settled in in my dorm room. My TV and computer are hooked up. I met the RA (resident assistant).

My parents helped me move because it required two cars to haul all the belongings I needed for my dorm room. I haven't met my roommate yet, perhaps he hasn't moved in yet. My parents and I made two trips to Wal-Mart, because I needed some more long pants because it gets really cold (teens/low 20s) in winter, and I will be taking Chemistry and it's not a good idea to wear shorts in the lab.

It took 8 hours rather than 7 because we stopped in Corsicana for lunch (about 50 miles south of Dallas), and the place we ate was not right on the freeway, and then we ended up in the middle of Fort Worth rush hour (much less congested than the Dallas side of the Metroplex).

There is a well-known bicycle race in Wichita Falls called the Hotter than Hell Bike Race, a reference to the very hot, dry summers in North Texas (high temperatures can easily reach the 105-110 degree range up here). My parents were very lucky to get the very last hotel room in Lawton, OK. Everything in Wichita Falls was booked because of the bike race.

Tomorrow, I will have breakfast with my parents before they go back home to Houston. Then I will just chill for the rest of the day tomorrow. Classes start on Monday.

Hey Timmy! I might be taking chemistry too if I go back to school! I'll probably get a loan to stay in residence, or if there's a college close to our commune, go to that one. I am so glad you're back; I didn't read your going-away thread very well so I didn't realize you'd be back so soon!

Hey Tim, I just moved in too, on Sunday actually. Our classes started this Wednesday, so I've already got studying to do. But I like being back in the routine of college. Hope all goes well for you
