Home Boredom can be a big problem sometimes. Its not that big problem once you know what you're going to do at home, but repetitive activities can get old pretty fast. If you can please share some ideas of what you enjoy doing at home, it can help me and other people reading this who tend to suffer from the same Home Boredom problem, thanks. By the way, I wasnt sure if this belongs to Autism discussion or Random discussion, so I'm posting it on Autism discussion, and if you think it doesnt belong here, move it to where it needs to be, thanks.

So, I do this thing where I make up long-running stories in my head. I don't write them down or tell anyone about them, they are only in my head. It's sort of like a TV series with many seasons, but it's exactly the way I want it because I'm making it up, and it's available at any time because it's in my head. Also there is no pressure because it's just for me. It can be inconsistent or boring or some characters might drop out and later turn up again, etc.

I don't get bored at home. I only get bored with the routine of going to work.

I usually have enough to keep me occupied - mostly via my laptop. When that fails to give me enough interesting things to do, I've always got the nuclear option of recording another multi-track song, which always gives me a strong sense of purpose and has never yet become totally boring. Actually that's also a laptop thing these days because I figured out how to get decent sound quality out of it. So all roads lead to my laptop.

Here's some general advice about the strongly-related condition "cabin fever" - I can't vouch for its quality but it doesn't look too far from the truth:

I usually do cheap or free courses online, or listen to self help/ inspirational/ new age/ alternative medicine podcasts.

It's easy to get bored if you work from home and rarely go out, like I do. That's been my life for a long time now.

I work from home, live at home, and sleep at home, so there's really not much time to be bored :-). There is always something that needs doing.

But are those things interesting though? I get bored doing endless housework. I want to do interesting, fun, diverting, absorbing things, not endless washing up, ironing and vacuuming. Those are soooooo booooooring...

Well I work from home but when I'm not working I work out constantly. When I'm not doing that I'm either building new equipment or dismantling old equipment. I also enjoy refurbishing old furniture and I don't mind doing the usual household chores either.

I've usually got a jigsaw on the go that I do sporadically.

I watch TV and I sometimes listen to music.

I enjoy redecorating sometimes as well.

I call myself a tinkerer because I'm always tinkering.

I actually like vacuuming. I'm just a weirdo because my brain is always thinking about something (usually something weird - like what chairs would look like if our knees bent in the other direction.) :-D

When I am home and the power is out or the computer doesn't work I get restless and bored

On days off work I usually end up watching too many useless videos on YouTube and wasting time. No cash, car or "friends". Besides coronavirus. Also I have to be close to a litterbox at all times because fecal incontinence. Where I live is one bus ride away from pretty much everything. Also I don't particularly enjoy anything and not good at anything

What else is there to do at home, besides the computer?

I read , paint, play video games, watch squirrels bunnies and birds outside my window, experiment with new recipes, study history and science, or watch YouTube videos.

I don't really get bored as often as other people do at home.

I hate vacuuming! Especially when we had hamsters and they kicked sawdust everywhere and I had to vacuum every day! Can you come round and vacuum my house for me please?
