Frustration and Driving

Im so frustrated,
I had just talked to my mom about driving to my grandparents care home thats 35 minutes away. And theres no freeway just highway and when I told her that she asked if im going to do it alone and I said you don't believe in me and pretty much she said yes. I feel like the less confident she is in me the less I want to try and drive more, I just wish she could believe in me. Any suggestions.

Go to your grandma's, prove you can do it.

Like funeral said, just go and do it. Send a picture to your mom from your grandparents.

You'll be better off proving your mom wrong in this case, and if you have already passed your driving test/have your license, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to improve with practice, as others do.

Thank you. I don't why it gets me so frustrated and upset. Maybe because it feels like she doesn't believe in me or have the confidence in me. And I want to feel independent and like I can do stuff on my own driving wise without needing someone else with me. There's so many things like graduating college with both my Associates and Bachelors Degrees that I never thought I would complete, so why not believe in me that I could do it especially when I'm wearing my glasses.

Moms are moms. They're like that.

When I was in my mid-20s I was in the military about a thousand miles (~1700 km) from where my parents lived. I got airline tickets to visit them for Christmas/New Years. My Mom was surprised I could do that by myself. :roll:

I agree. Moms worry. No matter how old you get, no matter how successful you get, Mom will worry.
