Hi Wrong Planeters, I've not been on here for ages and was wondering if Cornflake is still the person to ask permission for posting a recruitment ad? I don't want to bother anyone's PMs without good reason but I am working on the replication of a well-known study. If I wasn't working on it, I'd very much want to participate in it (not just for the £30 participation fee!). TIA

I'm looking for 5 or 6 autistic people who are in or around Edinburgh, Scotland to participate in the replication of Crompton et al. (2020). The original study was one of the first to provide evidence for the double empathy problem and had a huge impact on me personally after I was diagnosed.

Prospective participants are asked to complete an eligibility form here https://mentalhealthscot.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_38bYlM0ac8NJOIe and if eligible and available, they are invited to my base in Edinburgh for a research 'day' (usually 3-4 hours). We have tons of info to send out about attending a research day, we provide snacks, a private chill out room for all participants and snacks and everyone receives £30 and travel expenses.

We only have one more research day to do, which was scheduled for this Sunday 8th Oct but I only have 1 participant (I need 6). As this day might have to be rescheduled I am trying to encourage everyone to complete the form even if they're not free on the 8th.

Just to add, there's a team in Dallas, Texas running the same study who are also looking for autistic participants. My colleague will hopefully post some details here but if they don't get a chance, feel free to message me and I'll pass on any comments. Thanks.
