I see that many of the people on this site are young people whose special interests are those of Generation X and beyond. I am from the Baby Boomer generation, and it seems to me that Baby Boomer Aspies are quite different in the type of "Aspie" traits that they exhibit. For example, most Baby Boomer Aspies that I know love Classical music, have read all the great literature of the past, are mathematically inclined, and have a strong sense of social justice, making them Liberal or socialistic in their political views.
I am a Gen X'r and apparently ASPIE. I like classical music(Whether what they called classical in my day, or classic rock), but read more current stuff. I will have to get to, and have been thinking about reading some of the "great literature of the past". I haven't been so mathematically inclined, though I struggled to be exposed to that LONG ago. I am working on that also. I have a strong sense of social justice, but that means I am NOT liberal or socialist. "liberals" tend to have a steal from the middle class, and pay everyone else type mentality. Just look at the Clintons to see what I mean. They are stealing millions a year from the middle class FOR THEMSELVES ALONE, but still claim the middle class is so rich and should "Pay their fair share"! Socialists often just automate it, or institutionalize it. FORGET THAT!

Many Aspies were involved in the Vietnam War protests of the late 1960's and early 1970's.
Well, I am a fairly old genx'r and the vietnam war drew to a close before I was a teenager. Still, I was against the vietnam war.

Therefore, I feel a little awkward at times visiting this Wrong Planet site, as I feel out-dated. There is not much discussion of social issues or culture, as I am accustomed to. This doesn't mean that I do not understand or appreciate the statements and opinions of younger people with AS. I just wonder how many of the "Aspie-like" Baby Boomer traits and interests will crop up in the lives of these younger people as they get older. [I should add that "Aspies" from the pre-Baby Boomer era seem to have had their own specific traits, as well.]
Well, Genx-rs are at least the third most common here. I guess it could be worse. Still, as I showed, your assertions of homogeneity of Gen-x are not all that valid.
