Just a fun poll I decided to put up. I have two cats and one dog and I love them all the same, but I still consider myself a cat person. My dog is absolutely amazing and I couldn't ask for a better pet, but she's more like a cat who pants (she's even the same size as a cat).

I plan on being the crazy cat lady of the neighborhood when I grow up.

:P

Cats hands down. I like lap warmers that clean themselves and keep quiet most of the time. And I love to stroke them. . .. /me sighs and wishes he had a cat.

I like them both, though I'm not much of an animal lover.

Cats are cuddly and all, but they have teeth and claws. And kitty litter make me sneeze, among other things. And some cats over-eat and then vomit all over the house (my two).

Dogs on the other hand, shi* outside. :) But, they eat more and are more likely to go on the floor every now and then. And dogs bark, but I don't mind barking very much.

All in all, animals cost too much, and my mom could afford better things if she didn't accept every animal ever offered to her.

What is it about Aspies and cats going together so well?

I like dogs better than cats. Cats tend to scratch a lot. Dogs have a friendly way about them.

I am a cat person. Strangely, the pet that I remember most as a young child is a dog, though. My childhood pet isn't really my childhood pet, and is my cat. She is named "Little," and is 19 years old. She's actually sitting here wanting me to share my White Castle hamburger with her. (I'm also not a big fan of White Castle hamburgers, but I am a strange person who will eat things that I do not particularly like simply for the experience of eating them.)

I'm allergic to both, but can't resist having a cat. (I take lots of allergy pills and use air filters.)

I love cats. Dogs are okay, and I can like or even love individual dogs, but they're confusing and take a lot of effort to interact with. So I'm a cat person.

I don't know why, but I love cats... Unfortunatley most cats don't reciprocate that affection... Oh well...
I'm also allergic to cats *SNEEZE*.

Doesn't stop me from owning one though... Or does she own me?

Though I love cats, I understand dogs like no other creature. And I can just spend time doing nothing with dogs. I know how they think.

So I'm a bit of both, though I like all creatures...

I have the perfect cat. He doesn't scratch, he reciprocates my affection with snuggles and "leans", he waits at the door for me to come home when I go out, he hangs on my left shoulder like a baby or curls up in my lap, he is clean and quiet and well-behaved. My daughter's cat is the same way. They are brother and sister from the same litter.

<ahem> ...and then there are our other two cats... 8O

I love all animals. I generally like cats better than dogs, but my dog means more to me than anyone/anything else in the world(although he stands to be overtaken by another person sometime soon  ) I'd have to say my favorite pets are fish, though. Oscars specifically. They are like underwater dogs. I had one and I trained him to do tricks and such. They are very smart!

I chose "Couldn't decide" cause I just love all animals and they all make me so happy. But currently I have three adorable and often exasperating cats (plus two mice).

I like all pets. But if forced to decide, then I'd say I'm a dog person.
