What are your five greatest failures?

What are your five greatest successes?

Trusting Neighbours, Police , Prosecuetors office , even family members. ..... Trusting in myself almost always paid off .
Maybe , the idea , in card games are best advise , always keep your "Hold Card" back from anyone.
Quote " always keep your cards close to your vest" Usually that can be a back up plan.
Even with all that , Lost a husband to criminality that went from a neighbour whom had his older grandchildren looting our home,repeadedly Whom had distant family members.living on three sides of my home. had influence with local Law enforcement . And Law enforcement influenced the prosecuetors office .. Inspite of obvious evidence noone was ever sent to prison regarding his Murder . And lost my already paid for home,( that I had the primary hand in developing that property.) . But the resulting humdinger of PTSD has been a insane ride since then , and before . Due to circumstances of not understanding how to use trust. But am still here .
Every lawyer ,Approx. 25 different ones and legal public office were of no help .Most all Civil Rights Orgs , and Lawyers I tried, And seemed to not have any interest, One Lawyer at least listened but said it was more than they could handle..The Victims advocate at that time for that court system. Tried to bring evidence to light and she was arrested two days later. And forced to leave the State. After working in prosecuetors office for 15 years .
Yup that has been the Greatest Failure..!

1. Failure to select the more promising career path after college (I was good at Computing and Media - I went Media)
2. Failure to course correct when it became obvious that print media was dying on its arse and I was still young
3. Failure to buy property when it was still cheap enough to do so
4. Failure to secure a good enough income to save and invest in the future
5. Failure to spot that a rental property which seemed like a great step forward was actually a trap that's held me for 15 years now with still no clear route out of it.

1. I went from getting my first staff writer job on a magazine to editing it in just under 3 years.
2. I won a couple of story slams where I had to read out stories I'd written in front of people.
3. I wrote a novel. It wasn't very good and I abandoned it because it had too many problems I couldn't fix, but I wrote it.
4. I transitioned into being a father, a role I never expected to have to fulfil but one I take very seriously.
5. I survived cancer.

1. Failing to make my parents proud (in comparison to children of others they know I failed to be as great)
2. Failing to form lasting relationships outside of the family
3. Failing to pursue my interests and failing to establish a satisfactory career
4. Failing to maintain my health, squandering it
5. Failing to be happy
