I'm tired of being tired.

I have a chronic illness that causes fatigue, now you would think that would help with sleep but it doesn't. When my fatigue gets worse so does my insomnia which inturn causes more fatigue, it's a horrible viscous cycle.

I'm starting to feel depressed because I cannot lead a normal life like this. I recently moved to a new town so now I don't have any friends nearby anymore. I would like to make some new friends but I'm often too tired to leave the house.

I miss being able to work.

This is not how I thought my life would be like at almost 29 years old.

Anyone else been through a similar situation? And if so how did you manage it?

My girlfriend can relate to all this except she's had problems since she was a kid & teen & she's never had a job. She has problems sleeping due to pain & acid reflux & asthma symptoms. Her docs & psychiatrist aren't really sure what all is going on. She feels depressed because she cant have a job & be a normal functioning person that society seems to expect & demands adults to be.
