Sensorymotor OCD & Autism

Curious if S-OCD is a more common expression of OCD for people in the spectrum than the more common expression of OCD that most are familiar with? I have read an article on this that has come to this conclusion.

I have this condition, as does my son and many others I know with autism.

Well I've never heard of the term "sensorymotor OCD" so I looked it up. Turns out that's the kind of OCD that I have. No one really wants to talk about bodily sensations, though, so it's easier to refer to OCD as "repeated checking of door locks" or some such thing. I didn't know that it's correlated with being autistic.
