Recently started on 25mg of sertraline for OCD and PTSD. My psychologist is pining for me to increase this gradually.

Effects have been relatively minor thus far. I've experienced a small reduction in symptoms, but I'm apprehensive about upping my dosage because I'm concerned it'll begin to produce adverse side effects or affect my brain in an unwanted way.

Any experiences with higher dosages (or sertraline in general)? How does it affect the way you think, if it does? I'd like to hear your experiences.

I'm on 150MG a day and I also started 25MG. I think its helps in the long run but not all that good for anxiety imo.

I am currently on 50mg a day, I started on 25 and went up to 75 at one stage, personally adverse side effects for me include brain fog, more forgetfulness and I find it regulates emotions by negating the low mood moments but also puts a ceiling on the high or positive mood moments that sort of colours makes feelings monochrome. That is also in combination with Tevaquel 50mg a day but I do find decreased brain fog and forgetfulness and more of an ability to experience positive emotion but also negative - I agree with previous post that it doesn't alleviate anxiety for me also much, but is more of a mood regulator. Personally I am thinking of asking my doctor to try a different medication soon although because I'm used to it now might wait until a more quieter time in my life when I finish college. I hope you are feeling okay and that the reason you are taking medications is helped by self love. I find for example if I do not go to sleep and wake up at a consistent time or do a bit of exercise regardless of taking sertraline the mood is worse and I'd suggest those are even more helpful for me personally for regulating mood, important to note that currently I am reliant on the tevaquel at night for sleep and have been for some time.
